    I use PVA which can then simply be washed off. However yes. you can also just put a plastic bag over it or tape it off with painters tape.

    take a large section of 1/4' plywood and trace the transom shape from your boat and cut it out to make a template. then take the template to the new boat.

    May be a typo in the cross-reference. But the BPR6EFS is for vortex heads on an SBC. It's equivalent to the Delco AC-MR43LTS. Looks like the Ford x-ref is a BPR6FS (no E)
