    Water in a test bucket MUST be 6 to 8" above the impeller.-----These pump do not move air very well.

    Simple steps to take.-----Clean the breaker points.------Set at 0.008 / 0.010" -----Spin the shaft and see if you get spark out of that coil.-----Post your test results.----Show a picture of your spark test tool / method.

    Gasket between powerhead and exhaust housing is the same for both motors.----Is the 225 a direct injected " ficht " motor ?------If it is I would do a very close inspection on it.-----Research history on the 225 ficht.-----You may not want that technology.

    Swap the coils and repeat the spark test with a 5 /16" gap tester.----Not a blinking light thingy.----Post what you see.
