    Chrysler fuel pump

    Some will argue.-----I would simply take the pump apart.------About the only thing that can go wrong is the diaphragm.-----Available for about $10 I think.

    The high speed jet is in the very bottom of the float bowl.----It is about 5/8" long with 1/4-20NC thread.-----In the very bottom of the float bowl !!----And I am quite familiar with these carburetors.----Likely have a dozen or more laying around !

    The item is 328544 in the bottom of the bowl.----That adjustment is for the low speed mixture only.

    In the very bottom of the float bowl you will find the high speed jet.----All the fuel used by the engine goes through it.----Step #1 is to make sure that item is clean.

    If water was INSIDE on the roller bearings then there might be damage.----Pitting of crankshaft and connecting rods may have occurred.------Motor will run but for how long ?-----Removing bypass covers ( 4 screws each ) allows for a look inside the crankcase, may help you decide.

    Need engine rebuild kit 94-96 johnson/evinrude 150 ocean runner. 60 degree

    Took a motor apart last month.----1993 crossflow 90 HP.----Had been apart before and 2 new standard pistons had been installed.-----Found damage at the wristpin retainer grooves.------No identification marks on those 2 pistons.-----I use WISECO or factory pistons.

    When shifting an outboard the gears must be turning so clutch dog and gears can engage.-----So you turn the driveshaft to turn the gears.-----Turn the propshaft to turn the clutch dog.-------Learning how things work makes it easy.
