    When you learn how the electric primer valve works it will be an easy decision.----The electric primer was first used on 1980 models.---Used on motors from 9.9 to 300 HP for about 30 years.-----It is just a wonderful item when you understand how it works.

    Easy in my opinion.----Go down the lists of motors till you come across the 28 HP special.----then compare powerhead parts to the 30 HP and compare lower unit parts to your 83 model motor.-----You will also learn during your searching.---I can't do it all for you without some beer tokens ---Sorry.

    Just my opinion.----Many folks today are not well versed on the operation of machinery.----Blunt statement here.----If you are only getting 2200 RPM out of an engine it is more than a " wrong prop issue ".----Perhaps even the tachometer is giving a false reading.

    The choke / primer issue is a minor bump in your conversion.-----Just my opinion..-----Check and compare the gearcase on the 28 HP specials to see how it compares to your motor !!!

    Nope.------Look for the fitting on the block where the TELLTALE hose ( water pump indicator ) attaches.-----It was on the side of the block but should have been moved long ago.-----Nothing to do with VRO.

    There really is no difference between the parts on an 82 and 85 model 90 HP.-----The 85 model might have oil injection with the issues that go along with that.-----I think an 82 IF in good condition is an excellent motor.-----A big " if " on condition.
