Fact---Many gaskets are indeed porous!----Nature figures out a way for water to work / seep it's way through.-----Water then evaporates and leaves that white deposit.----Since there is no white next to the gasket , can there be any other explanation ?
Many motor suffer this fate.----The way I see it is that motors today will start and run.---Then folks do not service them just because motor runs.-----Never consult a shop to grease the spline / maintain the water pump !
Agreed with the above.---Post your compression numbers.-----What " work " has been done to the motor ?----Did the stalling issue present itself suddenly ?----Has water pump been serviced ?-----Mixing good oil at 50:1 on this motor.
