    Does appear 152 is the IAC but what are the normal codes you see all the time? 2 beep codes can be several other then then ones you mentioned, and the 2 beep and then going to constant beep at 4K rpm's I would think its the seawater pressure switch

    Sounds like you need another steering ram. The pic below is one I made up for another issue, buy the should work. Steering arm is Yellow and ram connection is Blue arrow, and if I understand you correctly everything works fine so long as the ram is not connected

    The connection to your hour meter shouldn't have any effect normally, but if the hour meter is having an issue it can reduce the power going to the coil. This pic is just for reference showing the purple wire connection on the EST distributor

    Oh you have some issues. The lower housing anti-ventilation plate is broken off, and the top of the lower housing has a crack. My guess right now is the drive doesn't have any lube in it

    Unless someone changed the wire there shouldn't be a solid blue wire. That said if the blue/white and purple/white wires that are in the pic connect to the trim limit on the drive, then yes connect the switch between the two. The purple/white should have power on it
