    Glue bottom of Bilge Pump

As others have mentioned, sooner or later the pump will fail, and if it's glued, well your stuck :D Either the pump will go out or the float switch. Not knowing where it will be located, but in most cases its under the motor/transmission. If you fasten it to a piece of wood and then glue that...

    T Bolt Clamps

I thought T bolt clamps were better then worm clamps and they would last longer. So far two of these have broken the same way. Appears to be metal fatigue. It came off my 08 truck but same things are used on boats. Was thinking of replacing them on the oat but after two I'm having second thoughts.

OVA DVR to server to house

Not the same question as in previous threads, but the end result is getting to the same point. Will not be doing any retransmission for others, only self use so the FCC should not be an issue Looking for knowledge to do it or figuring out what other forum would be best to post the question...

    2005 mercruiser 3.0 TKS carb...

The TKS is pretty much the same as the 2GC carb. Once the module has extended to block the enrichment passage it acts just like the 2GC. Power is supplied to the module when the key is turned ON via the Red/Purple thru a 20 amp fuse, and the oil pressure switch supplies a ground to the module...

Battery hooked up backwards. No life! Help!

Note pic below is newer 4.3, the breaker (item 7) is between the starter and the Red/Purple connection. The Red/Purple connects to the starter slave solenoid (item 8). The 90 amp fuse (not shown) is place between the Orange wire from the ALT to the starter. This is a fuse so it will react...

New Guy and Maybe a New Boat

Opinion. other will vary Like all boats, the motor is what makes it, if it doesn't run, nobody wants it. I'm seeing 260 hours on the speedometer instead of the 134 being listed. Its on a dealer lot and they were posting many boats and get the postings mixed up. The 260 looks better then the...

Battery hooked up backwards. No life! Help!

Just to be clear of what I'm talking about, its NOT the purple wire, it is the Red/Purple (A red wire with a Purple stripe). The Red/Purple feeds 12V to the key switch. When the key is turned to ON, it passes the 12V to the purple wire. So the purple wire will not have 12V unless the...

2006 Mercury optimax 150 no power to ignition or fuel pump

In most cases (not an OB guy) the kill switch keeps 12V from going to energize circuits. For Mercury/Mercruiser this is the purple wire. Power goes to the key switch, then from the ON or Ignition side (purple wire) it goes to the kill switch, then to the helm gauges and the motor. Now there...

    Loss of power

    4.3L electric fuel pump

Howdy When key is turned to ON, power is supplied to the purple wires. Note in the pic that the purple goes to item 5 which is the oil pressure switch. If key is just turned on and the motor is not running, the switch will be open. So no power is being applied to the pump (item 6). When key...
