    Antlergang----It sounds like your motor is running on just 1 cylinder.----Post compression test numbers.----And does spark jump a gap of 1/4" or more on a simple test device ?

    A donor motor is you best bet.----Any thing for the 18 / 20 / 25 HP 22 cubic inch model only from about 1958 to 1976 will have the parts you need.---Great , durable , easy to fix and own motors.

    Riddle me this about mixing polyester resin with catalyst using weight or volume.

    I use WEST SYSTEM Epoxy.--------Just 1 pump of resin and 1 pump of hardener.----Perfect every time.-----More money I know.-----But no smell and great results.

    The newer control boxes ( up to 1995 ) work on your motor----If I tell you there is an o-ring inside a cover then that means there is one.---But when you show doubt I often stop trying to help folks !------Simple as that !!

    Well----We do not know what style of control box is on your boat !-----A control box with big red plug on end of the wire harness is what you need.-----Big red plug was used from 1973 to 1995 models .---Control boxes like that may look different but all work the same.----I step aside now.
