    start by removing the stuff in the bilge that is in your way. basically anything to port or starboard of the engine that is removable. put a pillow or blanket in there, may have to lay across the engine and work upside down then if you need to remove engine bits to get to the spark plugs...

    coincidence only. unless you bought a really really cheap starter you most likely have a bad connection. every battery cable connection should be clean and shiny enough your mother-in-law would eat off them.

    to get optimum fuel economy, you need a fuel flow meter as the setting is dynamic based on engine RPM, load, throttle position, wind, current waves, how dirty your hull is, etc. regarding the speed - trim up until it starts to porpoise, then bump it down just a bit.
