    a 108 - the yellow cap on the plastic reservoir is where you fill the system yours, not sure ATF, UTF, SAE 10, SAE 30, SAE 30, ISO 46 all suitable if you flush your system ATF (straight ATF, not type F, Mercon or Dexron) and SAE 30 are the common fluids.

    as a side note, on a regular vehicle. Maalox or other tummy feel good stuff works great to coat exhaust bolts. the temp turns it into a powder, and 20 years later, they come out as if they were just installed.

    Check you lower shift cable adjustment. Has your distibutor trigger been upgraded to the new 3-wire versions Your boat probably sat for many years. It should have close to 1000 hours on it.
