    If your tires were cracked..., what do you think the other rubber bits are like I generally go 3 years max on a VP and 3-5 years max on a mercruiser bellows. You are pulling the drive annually for the yearly alignment and bearing check, correct?

    EFI and raw water cooled is 160. Salt water is better with 140f T-stat, however engine needs 160 Did you verify the temp with an IR temp gun? Moat likely your manifolds are plugged. In salt water, you should have changed them at least once in 13 years, if not twice

    You are testing compression wrong You dont start the motor You pull all plugs, screw in gauge, crank 5 or 6 revolutions (until gauge stops moving) and read gauge, then reset gauge and move to next cylinder

    if its a johnson or jabsco pump, the part number is on the stamped pump cover. google will get you a replacment pump or an impeller kit.

    its a 28 year old boat. that kind of work is common on fiberglass boats that use wood as the core material. I would skip it because of the ford motor as you can not get parts for it.

    guys, I think you are over-thinking it. a 5/16" fuel hose will support up to 350hp. a 3/8" fuel line will support up to 450hp and you need a 1/2" fuel hose to go up to 650hp.
