    its an idle relief port. at idle, the engine wont run with the back pressure that running thru the drive and out the prop has. at WOT the exhaust flow out the prop is helped by the movement of water which also provides some scavenging of the gasses.

    no, you would need to re-make the fuel line (post #74). as in re-fabricate a new line. your old line would not be usable as is or you can get any number of holley fuel logs and run A1-15 marine fuel hose if you dont want to fabricate (per post #74).

    from the vinyl manufacturers themselves. dont believe me, call them yourself. anything beyond the warranty period is considered a bonus. since vinyl and foam manufacturers are no longer allowed to use arsenic as a fungicide any more, the warranty periods have dropped.

    in addition to drilling the holes, you may want to seal the holes with 3M 5200 and use bolts with nylock nuts.
