Newbie owner looking for boat specific details

if you dont want to sink a bunch of money into refurbishing a boat, start with an aluminum boat with an outboard or buy a boat that is less than 10 years old no such thing as an owners manual on boats (with very very few exceptions) the stitching is gone because the thread long ago rotted...

Bravo 3 with open exhaust bellow, running with drive up?

running within the trim gauge is fine, that is only about +/- 6-8 degrees from 0. the difference between 1/4 down and 1/2 down is only a few degrees never run above the trim limit setting (tilt range). that is where the u-joints bind

    Trailer weight distribution question

is the transom at the end of the bunks? because the stern drive should always hang past the trailer step back, take a pic of the side of the trailer and boat. you can step back about 30 feet farther than you think to get the whole thing in the pic (we can zoom in, we cant zoom out)

Bravo 3 with open exhaust bellow, running with drive up?

drive dont care, bellows dont care.... u-joints on the other hand do care once the u-joints start to go then the drive starts to care.

    Trailer weight distribution question

see post #7, you are over your tow rating with only 108# of tongue load (only 1.3% tongue weight vs the 5-10%), any wind load (drag) on the boat while towing will make this number negative. you should have much closer to 500# tongue weight since you cant move the axles, then slide the winch...

    Interior floor options?

no, doublesided tape and velcro wont work unless you put a screw thru it. I would rhino line or line-X the floor or add a non-skid gel surface if you dont want carpet. if you want carpet, screw in snaps. just seal the holes with 3M 4000 UV
