    I would apply a layer or two of shark hide. its a metal protectant made for protecting pontoons in salt water.

    Here are the parts laid out here is the tool I made to drive in the 5/16" J-tubes note, I sheared off the formed flange......phuck the new Holley J-tubes are thinner than the J-tubes of old. ordering another set of J-tubes..... here is the carb partially assembled.

    BTW, with minimal work, you can get 160hp out of a 3.0..... then again, with a fair amount of work you can get 200hp out of the 3.7.

    the 2.5 was anywhere between 90hp on the low end and 120hp on the high end the 3.0 is between 115hp on the low end and 160hp with EFI carbureted, most were 140hp.

    first, I would simply visit a canvas shop and have your convertible top re-done. It will not only be cheaper and faster........ adding a bunch of weight up-high on your old tri-hull not only takes away from its capactiy, however changes the center of gravity alot.

    easiest drive in the world to align. following the manual. there are 3 places to measure between the PDS housing and the transom sheild. at 3-oclock, 9-oclock and 12-oclock positions, measure with feeler gauges. as long as the dimensions are within a 0.060" range (1.5mm) you are good
