    the problem with plastic, is that it has a useable life of 10 years and then starts to fail. faster if exposed to UV the dash indicated above has started to fail. no amount of epoxy will prevent that. Plastic has no place on an engine or as a dash.

    start with cleaning all battery cable connections (both positive and ground). just clicking is bad connection 99.5% of the time

    first, do not try to turn your motor over by the crank bolt. you will snap the bolt off in the crank second, if the plugs are in, you wont spin it by hand pull the drive to make sure you are not fighting drive issue is your starter a direct drive or PMGR? what RPM are you getting when cranking?

    while you have the heads off prior to sending for a valve job, use a die grinder and an assortment of tootsie rolls and rol-loc discs to smooth out the combustion chambers (just remove the casting flash). open up the bowls a bit and blend the valve guides.

    there is more than just the area that you are thinking. you would have to work at making your furniture air tight. your bilge blower vent wont be enough for a motor, however the engine will get enough air everywhere else (like under the dash and along the gunwale, etc.

    3 ugga-duggas on the chordless impact.... seriously, the pan should be 12 ft-lb on an SBC oil pan. nothing special about marine or not, it is still a GM SBC
