When do you pull your freshwater boat?

So you fill it and treat it for your last outing, so presumably your left with say 3/4 or 1/2 when the boat is pulled?

When do you pull your freshwater boat?

Usually a half tank or under for me, i usually just dont add more fuel towards the end of the season run it pretty low, but just recntly heard about having more fuel in tank to help with condensation and from a scientific perspective it makes sense. I do live in the northeast....sadly.

When do you pull your freshwater boat?

I heard recently that it might be better to store with 3/4 tank full (treated of coarse) as that will help reduce condensation in tank.

Replacing U-joints Alpha one gen 1

When do you pull your freshwater boat?

This sounds nice, im never patient enough, i like to winterize my boat (as i do it myself) while its still somewhat warm out, so i tend to pull it sooner then most.

When do you pull your freshwater boat?

As the title says, just wondering when most of you guys who may have your boat on a dock or mooring pull it and winterize it. I suppose it depends on the season but this August seems to be particularly cooler then past seasons so it has me wondering if the time is sooner. What do you generally do?

    What are these?

I was looking at my trim sender and noticed this little pitcock-looking thing, there is one on the other side and one at the top of the outdrive housing also. They are plastic, it seems like maybe a grease fitting but not so sure.

    Fixing trim gauge

Hey all, my boat trims up and down fine, the gauge just doesn't work, i replaced all gauges and all my gauge work except this, I have checked the wiring and that's not the issue. I am doing some outdrive work so it seems like a perfect time to replace my trim sender, could this lead to the...

    Confused about these parts

I need a new gimbal bearing, I got the serial number off my drive so I'm looking at the right stuff on mercruiser parts but I don't understand why there are 3 different gimbals, I would think when using my specific outdrive serial it would show me exactly what I need...

Replacing U-joints Alpha one gen 1

I have no idea it was accepted practice, in that case.... There is still a video posted in this thread on how to get it out without breaking the tabs, ill probably at least try that first. I assume a boat yard isnt cutting tabs, probably why they charge so much LOL

Replacing U-joints Alpha one gen 1

I did see a video on this, and the tool is $90 which i think is worth it, i think ill go this route, i believe what i heard is once you remove the u joint assemble from the outdrive there is a seal in there you now have to replace, so it will add that to the job but i just feel like its the...

Replacing U-joints Alpha one gen 1

Seems so crazy, so there is no way to do it properly? Is there perhaps a special tool people just choose not to buy?

Replacing U-joints Alpha one gen 1

Going to do this project, i did what many of us do and watched many youtube videos and for the most part I'm ready to go but with many things the video vary in what they show you vs what they only tell you. One video, seemed pretty in depth the guy said (and actually did this) cut a tooth on...
