    I had a compression tester's Shrader valve loosen, which caused inconstant readings. I luckily discovered loose valve before pulling heads.

    I cover my boat with a Big tarp. Unfortunately, due to health issues, I have not been able to work on it much as I would like. However, I notice recently that my curtains seem to have shrunk which is making zippers difficult to close curtains. One zipper broke. Doest clear vinyl do this over time???

    If salt used block, pitch it. Insides will be crap too. You may be able to salvage if fresh water used, but I wouldn't chance it.

    water over damn... With OD installed, and with a buddy and a vice grip, stop motor from turning (best way) while you attempt to move prop with a 2x4" If anything moves, pull prop and take to shop and pray it needs repairs and not coupler. I had similar problem with a MC/Proline

    get some mirrors and look. You may a y pipe seal gone. Look for rust! Pray it is not a rotten transom.

    Is your boat a wet deck boat? Water may drip onto drive shaft from hatch and enter via a worn seal. Trust me!

    MC have very strong motor mounts that do not allow vibrations to be seen unless something is very bad. I suggest pulling plug wire and listening to drop in RPMs. Just an idea...

    while friend at helm and in the dark with muffs on or at dock, start wiggling wires. I suspect coil wire grounding out.

    Real pain. Consider purchasing a kit that replaced oil drain plug that has long hose and brass end cap. Mine works great.

    Take sensors out of the loop one at a time. I disconnected my reservoir due to crud. I cleaned out crude and reconnected.

    I'd bet that you have some green corrosion somewhere. Jump starter directly and see what happens.
