    Stringer question

Well the company says you don’t have to get every little piece out so I was going to get as much as I can and just poured around in that way it will encapsulate the pieces that are left behind

    Stringer question

I will be doing stringer replacements on my 1990 sea ray sundancer. I’m leaning towards doing the transom pourable compound. I guess my question to you guys is will it be ok if I cut the top off of them & dig out all the wet wood & put a small piece of wood, like a 2 foot piece, and the pour...

    Oil pan size

Thanks for the advice guys..I’ll just reuse the pan I took off of it..although it really doesn’t look like an extra capacity pan. It looks like a standard oil pan…any way to measure it to see the capacity of it?

    Oil pan size

I have a quick question regarding oil pan size. I have a 1990 Siri Sundancer with the generation four, 7.4 L big block motor in it of course. I removed the oil pan to be able to change the oil pump on it before I put it back in the boat. Can somebody shed some light on what size oil pan I...

    Oil pump

I had it priming find the past couple times, and then all of a sudden it got really hard to spin and then stripped out my oil pump primer itself where it attaches to the drill.

    Oil pump

I have a generation 4 7.4 motir im getting ready to stop in my 1990 sea ray sundancer. Before putting it in I decided to prime the oil pump by installing my primer in the distributor hole & priming it that way. It did get up to 64 psi on my gauge until the drill bogged down drastically. I...

    Carburetor choke question

I have a 1990 sea race Sundancer with a seven. 4 L motor. I recently got around to getting a motor to get put back into her that has the Quadra jet four barrel carburetor on it with I believe what it’s called the divorced chalk, the choke mechanism was mounted on the intake. My question to you...

    Carb choice.

I have a 90 sundancer with the 7.4 & what is everyone’s thought for a cfm carb choice? It’s pretty much just the stock 330 hp in her with the good ole quadrajunk on it.I’d like to replace the divorced choke on it with an electric choke. Anyone with any ideas? I did remove the divorced choke...

    Oil pump

But is it normal to have the 64 pounds of pressure though? My drill is turning at around 1200 RPMs, that seems a little bit high. I guess it’s because the oil is cold and I’m not even sure the weight of it

    Oil pump

OK, I installed a oil pressure gauge to the motor and as you can see I am getting almost 64 pounds of pressure at roughly, I think my drill turns 1200 RPMs. I did get oil up to the Top part of the motor coming out at the rocker arms but it did take quite a while. Is this a normal reading?

    Oil pump

You know I just thought of something. While transporting the motor in my flatbed trailer, the motor came dislodged off of the 4 x 4‘s that I had a meltdown and hence the Motor was resting on the oil pan. If the oil pan head just the slightest dent in it, because that prevent the oil pump pick up...
