    You can get 90 degree zerc fittings and install them where the straight ones are now. I've done that in the past.

    There is a torque spec for the big nut which helps the tilt unit work correctly. In this case he may have overfilled his reservoir.

    Pretty sure it's just going from the block to the lower cowlings. Doesn't matter where and I believe you should have another one at another location.

    Well your getting a good stream and then your not...that's an odd one. Usually, good stream but still gets hot. We deal with that one all the time. Tims original q....was there missing pieces to your impeller when you first examined the water pump?

    Timing would effected all the cylinders at once so that doesn't make sense. Have you done a spark JUMP test? Testers are cheap....look for a 7/16 blue spark.

    Yeah ....well she's running good but I've got lots of cdi 2's laying around and when I get some time I going to convert it. Need to convert to the red plug anyways.... Right now the two blue wires aren't shutting it off, only way to kill it is to choke it.

    Either your throttle/shift cables are froze up or your timer plate is. Remove the cables from the engine and see if the cables move freely with the control box. Post your results. Motor looks like it needs lots of work. Post a picture of your entire outboard.
