    I have a VP 5.7GXi-HF, serial 4012221122. Going to install a Neutra-Salt system. On the power steering cooler, there is a spare port which is blinded. Does anyone know if this port tees into the raw water cooling or the power steering fluid?

    Engine problems while on vacation

    Not necessarily. Look up mancavemechanic on YouTube. He has some nice videos on rebuilding the fuel cell. Strip down the entire unit and remove the interior paint. I’ve done this myself and replaced all the o-rings while I was at it. Regularily inspect the screen just to stay ahead of things.

    Overheating under load

    Are you referring to the seal for the cooling water intake between the pivot housing and upper gear housing? If this seal is broken, the pump will suck air when the boat is on plane. That could be the cause of your overheat issue.
