    Would increasing the oal of axle cause any problems if the spring center is the same.. one of my spindles was pretty chewed up on passenger side so I'm gonna replace it.. the current axle had oal of 54" and the new is 56 1/4" with both having same spring center of 38.5"..     72 johnson 20 hp lower motor cover mount question

    Pulled the pan cause the front mounts werent right... there was a gap between the rubber grommet and the large washer and was a bit of movement if I pulled on it... I took a picture of the bolts and all hardware from the back but not sure how the front went since on side had extra washer...

    Had the motor out today and was only getting 2500 rpm at wot... itd rev higher in neutral and was able to get another 100 rpm before just calling it quits... gonna go check compression and spark in a few and will report back

    Picked up a 74 johnson 6hp and after looking it over after getting home there's RPH and the freeze plug looks like it was molded with the block so it's not domed.. it looks like factory painted also.. gonna get some pics up shortly..

    Got a noise at wot but if I lower the throttle a bit it goes away.. this a timing issue with the points or what... it's a 20 hp btw.
