    Johnson 1974 Honing Cylinder problems

    I got a cheap 13$ cylinder hone on amazon, tried using it and it broke, it got caught in the fuel and exhaust ports. It was one of those 3 bladed spring loaded ones.     1974 Johnson Powerhead Gasket Liner?!?!

    Hi, Im looking for a certain part, it is a rounded tube liner that fits in between the back bearing cover and the main powerhead part, it is part number 49 on this chart, it is NLA and my old one was ripped. Does anybody know were I can get this part?

    Carb Cleaning, the proper way?

    Quick question, not trying to steal your thunder here. I have carb cleaner and chemdip parts cleaner, should you rebuild the carb first, all the new floats, needles seals, then clean it with the spray, then leave it in the parts cleaner? Just wanted to know the right way to do it.
