    So I have a 89 21 ft renken fishing boat with the 3 ltr cobra.I have owned it for 18 ish years.Although they aren't well rated ,it's been a great boat.yhe original 3 ltr engine seem to be getting tired,yesterday after a hour of 3500 rpm something went bad,now stumbles after 2500 rpm.idles...

    Did I find problem

    So 89 3 ltr was running great till 3000 rpm then starving for fuel.removed carb and found seat( needle seat) was loose 2 full turns.tightened it up and reassembled.havent test drove yet but pretty confident that was the issue.🤞🤞any ideas??

    89 OMC 3ltr cobra water in drive

    First ride of the season noticed the drive was noisy.upon removal found water in the bellows.bellows was old and cracked.also noticed water in outdrive.( Milky).could water get forced into the drive because my bellows was full of water?I did a quick pressure test and saw no noticeable leaks.

    1992 15 hp running like crap

    1992 15 hp .won't idle,won't go full throttle.removed carb checked ,looks good,clean no wear,new plugs.Read about the top piece of carb cracking or warping.I can't see any cracks or warping ,Should I change that piece anyway.What else should I check?

    Just aquired a 18xd.I already have a 90 15 2 stroke.This 18 is a brute of a motor for 3 more hp.Seem's to be in pretty good shape .Are these a good motor,Things I should watch.Thnaks.

    89 omc cobra shift issues

    Last year my cobra became very stiff to shift.Shift ok with engine off.When idling,if I trip shift interupter the engine does not stumble.Could this be causing the stiff shifting?Would it be the interupter or the shift assist module.it has pertronix pointless distibutor that would affect this...

    omc 800 series,Ran good last fall put it in the water today,won't shift at all.There is a change in the tension on turning the prop when put in gear (not running),But the ball gears aren't moving,Any ideas would be great.

    Fuel in the water

    !990 15 2 stroke runs good,idles good but there seems to be alot of fuel in the water.Fresh tank of fuel 50-1 give or take a hair.Like I said it seems to run good although if you go from full to an idle too quick it sometimes stalls,but will restart right away?
