    What can i use to tow my boat?

    i bought a 1975 Crestliner Muskie 550 recently. Dry weight is 825. So that, plus motor, and trailer, equipment etc. Just some rough ideas of what vehicles can tow this. this is my first boat, thats why im not sure what is acceptable.

    Need help finding starter

    1971 Mercury 800 80 hp. #3056287 Maybe im just stupid, but I cant seem to find an aftermarket Starter for this thing. Unless im wrong, the oem starter part is 50-58788A3 but cant seem to find a new replacement. someone want to help me out? thanks!

    PTT and transom clamps

    my merc 800 has transom clamps. id feel safer if it was the bolt on kind when i add the PTT. It would also save me money so i dont have to buy the bracket. is there a cheap way to go about it? or do i have to use the transom clamps?

    Is it possible to make your own Power Trim/tilt?

    Sorry, im not sure which forum to put this in. Anyways. I looked at my motor (without PTT) and unless my ignorance is really taking over, I dont understand why the PTT kits are so expensive. Why cant you just take a linear actuator (instead of hydraulic) make a braket and bushing, then mount it...

    i have a 75 Crestliner Muskie 550 with a '71 mercury 800. I dont understand how a big motor like that wouldnt have PTT. Especially with the safety issue of having to go from behind the wheel to lift the motor up then run back to the wheel... These kits are not cheap either...i should just buy a...

    Battery Fish Finder...

    Is there anyone i can hook up my portable fish finder straight to the regular battery so i dont have to use 8 d batteries? haha it has a positive and negative wire running, i just wasnt sure if i had to add a resistor, or fuse or something.
