    Do I really need to smooth out the drive shaft where water impeller is sitting? There are 3 cuts/groves on the drive shaft and 2 of them needs to be smoothed by grinder of some sort. Sand paper will not be able to do the job. Any comment before I install the water impeller, please help ?

    No Title This shaft seal (circled in RED) in the picture is clearly broken and letting water in??? Right? I will buy a seal kit now, and do the pressure test after I water test the motor and drain it again to check water leak.

    Do I need to take down those top 2 screws in the front as shown in the pic? My lower unit would not come down after removing all 6 screws. Maybe it was too corroded? I tried to hammer it but it would not budge.
