    Mariner 8 hp will not pull start

    Looking to buy motor guy says he physically pull start it. I will not buy the motor unless has good compression and will turn over. Could it be just the pull cord or most likely the motor is locked up? I don’t want to waste my time going out there to check it out for the motor to be locked up..

    Carb float bowl not sealing..? Warped?

    Compression test ok??

    Ok, I have a 1990 Evinrude 88 SPL. I did a compression check on it and cylinder #1 checked in at 110, cylinder #4 checked 105, cylinder 3 checked in at 105, and finally 2 check in at 95.. is number 2 being at 95 ok?     Block threads stripped...

    As I was torquing down the head bolts to 20 foot pounds, which is what I read on another post, is this correcet? Anyway, six bolt on the port side started to get loose so I backed it out and found threading on the bolt.. So where do I go from here.. I barely tightened it maybe 10 foot pounds...

    Water Deflectors sticking out from block 1990 88 spl

    New water deflectors are sticking out quiet a bit on the cylinders.. Is this normal will they press in there once the head is back on or should they be completely flush with the block? They are very hard to get in there I bought one from a marine store and made the rest out of 3/8 fuel line...
