    Timing, Pertronix change over 3.0?

    I've got 1987 3.0 GM 181, anyone know after electronic ignition change over if the timing has to be changed from 6 BTDC, to something else? I've read anywhere from 1 BTDC and up. anyone else convert with a 3.0?, what you guys do? thanks much

    1987 3.0 mercruiser manifold drain port

    Went to fire up engine after winter sleep, i drained block and manifold, tried screwing in manifold drain bolt, wouldnt catch..threads worn out.. anyone know size of that drain plug?. Or what the proper merc part # is?, i ordered plastic version thats advertised to fit "manifold/block" hole...

    Bilge failure water in engine

    Last time you checked your outdrive fill/vent screws?

    Checked my drive oil level other day..I noted oil was leaking.. had been out 3 times on water thus far..I pumped in few shots noted slight milky oil..also noted zero gaskets on either fill or vent screws..ordered more oil and new screws/gaskets..drained all oil out just now..bout ounce of water...
