    I was waiting too, but have since found out you can use either oil or Dextron, I read ya can't mix the two tho. Im doing mine TA real soon, it will all be apart . Someone correct me if it is wrong info.

    That engine has been bored before to 020. over is what that means. Unless it came stock thata way, but i doubt it , lol I'd have a machine shop check it out if it we're me ..

    Ok, I'm feeling pattern of bolts is across from each other, not staggered. I'm wanting to install a PMGr starter in it, unless you know of something better? Thanks again

    Scott, I don't know, St Claire marine in Michigan built the engine It's very well built tho, I have the build sheet. I got rained out at work , I'm home now, going out to look or feel for the starter bolts, be back soon

    Hello everyone, I will be changing transom assembly real soon. I want to change starter at same time, Engine is a 383 Vortec block, with a stock GM marine unit I can't seem to find the correct part number for a PMGR starter, Anybody help me out here ?
