    Winter storage question

I like the truck tube option, never thought of that. I ran a 2x4 from the front to the back. It snowed..... and busted the windshield. lesson learned, don't rest anything on the windshield and check the boat often.

Remote Control for Alpha 1 Gen 2

if you can, bring the boat up to a buoy on the lake or river. See if you can dock it or bring it in as if you were going to. If you hit it just bobs out of the way. Make sure you are on the right side (red right returning, lol).

Assistance in identifying engine and type of Drive

I can't help much but can say there are no manuals for boats, as frustrating as it is. You need to get the specific unit you have questions about and send away, download or ask here.

Additional sound signals for electric boats?

when I am under power the only vessel I can hear when it passes me is a jet ski? I would think the same rules of the water would apply to any boat out on the water.

    Bolster seat

Hey Billy, my boat has captains chairs with a bolster. They seem to work well. When down my head is below the windshield when up I look over the windshield. You can search adjustable seat on this from.

First boat is it worth it?

I disagree, a boat sitting covered in the driveway is way better than at a dock. Granted, sitting in a covered and air conditioned room is better.

First boat is it worth it?

looking further at he ad, the boat is in Johnstown. That is right on the St Laurence and I bet they kept the boat on a trailer and put it in the water when they wanted to go for a zip... chances are its in great condition.

First boat is it worth it?

Being from Ottawa, I don't think the boat is over priced. I do think it may be to much for a new boater tho. As far as the wood construction most fiberglass boats are wood construction and fiberglass incased. I suspect the stringers and floors are wood. Condition is everything, that boat may...

    1994 Century 2100 dual console

If I were you Ann ( @Angelfish ) I would start a new thread for this. The only problem with asking a different question that the OP is ... some consider this to be a hijack, lol, and you will get more responses if it is by it self with a suitable title. :)

    1971 Tri-Sonic Riviera

despite the current condition I suspect it can be brought back to life. When you start working on it start up a thread and we can all come along for the journey.

    Proof of value

he did ask for a value... but I do agree, a survey is expensive and not normally done on older smaller boats.

    Proof of value

and you sure its not an MFG?

    Proof of value

short answer would be to get a marine survey of your boat. They will give you comparable boat values ... and give you insight as to the condition of the boat. Some say money well spent.

    Year of Manufacture

I found this on Iboats, https://www.iboats.com/shop/basics/serial-number-year unfortunately its not going to help you as the Merc serial number does not tell you the year.... but give it a read and see what you get.

    89 Sunbird Corsair 185 Manual

my current boat has a 30 gallon tank. I suspect the boats are close to the same size? I don't think it will be a big deal installing a new one.

    89 Sunbird Corsair 185 Manual

correct me if i'm wrong but I would think you need one to fit where the old one was or is. The sending unit should tell you how much gas you have or don't have. The gallons put in would be secondary to a good fit, IMHO.

    Hummingbird Depth Finder question

I had a depth finder do that only it would go from 2 feet to 100 and back. Made the unit completely useless. I replaced the transducer and all is good. Funny how dependent you get on them.

so each their own.. I had a cruiser and nobody wanted to go out so I traded it for a go fast bowrider and now the grandkids go out all the time.
