    What is the weight of the Boat, it must be very light to Jump out of the Hole with a 21, and 6000 rpm sounds a little high. I guess it could be Ventilating, which would account for the High Rpm. Exactly what prop is the 21, and what Height is the Engine mounted at?

    As in Booster Cables? A bit of Overkill, and a risk of lots of Sparks if they Short Out, which near Gasoline is not a Good Thing. Just use some 16 Gauge Wire to and from a 12 volt Battery.

    When you lift the Idle Lever, does the Timing Advance? The Carbs will not open until well in to the Linkage Movement

    Where I am, we only have 2 seasons, Winter and Summer. Spring and Fall are 2 week Transition Periods, so I can't call them Seasons. Currently in a Heat wave, temps are hovering around -11C, which is about 10F, beats a week ago when it was -45F

    You haven't got the Neutral and the Reverse Wires swapped somewhere?
