    1994 40HP Evinrude Compression Difference

    I found a 1994 Evinrude 40HP motor. I have not actually seen the motor, but the ad says that the top cylinder is 150psi and the lower is 125psi. I was thinking that ideally you would want the numbers closer together, but does 25psi difference make it a deal buster?

    I have located a 1975 85HP Evinrude motor. I am looking at this for a 24' pontoon boat. I have not looked at the motor yet, but was just wondering how durable these motors are? Did they have any problems that I should be looking for? Do these have electronic ignition?

    White Smoke - 28HP Johnson

    I put 10oz of Seafoam into 6 gallons of fuel when I refueled the boat today. After running around the lake for a bit I noticed some white smoke as I was idling into the dock. Would the 10oz of Seafoam in the 6g of fuel be enough to make it blow white smoke?
