    picked up an old evinrude 5.5 fisherman

    is this a 57? serial # 5514-02157 are these good little kickers? cracked the fly and the plug wire coils up top have the plastic all cracked. also what would be normal compression on theses got it for $20 thanks

    milky lower unit oil 69 55hp evinrude

    was going to change out impeller went to drain my oil and its all milky white. anyone suggest a common cause for water getting in the housing? Ive read the drain plugs could leak mine seem good. also read to put some air in the housing and see if you can track down leak. Also what is the...

    1968 55hp evinrude trouble shoot

    did a compression test all 3 cylinders hold 120. the motor has been sitting since 1994. the fuel was amazing. I flished it out used some cleaner on the carbs have not pulled them yet she wants to fire but it just pops. couls the carbs cause this it kina scares me hoping its not a timming issue...

    just bought this boat 14' fiberglass with a non running evinrude. it last ran in 1996 ran when parked in garage. the guy said he tried to start and it backfired on start up and never ran he knows nothing about motors. arent boat motors alot like mowers with a keyway?
