Walking on a flat surface is severely underrated in my opinion

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

How was working with the 1808? My understanding is it is more like a woven/csm layup vs the 1708 at its 45 degrees...

How to kill mold on billge/engine surfaces

Liquid sodium hypo. The granular (and cal hypo) for that matter can take you much higher but you really don't need much. For liquid outside of some special lab solutions you probably won't find much higher than 15% anyway. Most industrial grades are in that range. The generators on saltwater...

How to kill mold on billge/engine surfaces

I've taken some out of the eductors at work for... uh... "work related" cleanup. (If it happens in the parking lot, it's work related.) keep in mind that would be hypochlorous and at a way higher concentration that what you could get off the shelf. I've also used pool shock from my...

How to kill mold on billge/engine surfaces

I've worked some miracles with spray 9. The starbrite stuff is good too. Vinegar works, simple green works... like pretty much any mild cleaner works honestly.

I've been asked to cater all other family functions now lol. I said I accept beer as down payment.

Forgot the photos of the whole spread: Savages went hard. It was a good time. She ugly cried alot with happiness. For anyone with a BJs nearby, the 3 foots are 39$ a pop. They're stacked nicely and use fair quality and tasting cold cuts. Was pleasantly surprised. For comparison my favorite...

was thinking of changing over to a Delco EST system from points....

From what I've read (been keeping this in the back of my mind for when my TB V eventually dies) the sierra module has a higher failure rate. The GM module is NLA though so you kind of have to take the gamble if you want electronic... points are fine imo.

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

I'm fine with doing the full 3. Restos have been light lately and if joe doesn't want to win by default the extra few days may help that!

I agree. It always brings people together. And has bridged the gap between blue and white collar for sure. There's a random cake, brisket, cookies whatever in the break room everyone is always in a better mood and they all get talking about it. The plant favorite is crumb cake. I've brought in 3...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I have a marine supply place nearby that has materials if needed in a pinch. (1708, woven, CSM, poly, vinyl and epoxy.) Prices were a little higher but if I needed it that day, I had it. About a 45 minute ride from the house each way. Speedy tanks (Atlantic coastal) is about 10 minutes from...

    2000’s Bayliner 175 I/O

My dog house has about 2 inches of insulated foam on it. You cracked it open while running and it was really really loud. I think the problem was the space behind it on the back panel acted as a resonator of sorts and made it worse. It also pushed mine around 35 on average... cool fall day when...

    When boating, always ___________________

When I redid the boat I was going to rerig the control box to one with a kill switch. I just couldn't find one with an esthetic that fit with everything else. And it is still buttery smooth so I don't really see the need to bother. I too have never had a close call but an extra layer of safety...

Thanks sir. Party is at 3. The brisket was actually taken to work for a friday cook out last week (I made a second yesterday but wanted a test audience for my first ever brisket) the company said, and I quote "we like really like her birthday." Since I always do test batches to bring in...

Got a few things. My girls birthday is technically today so I went through and cooked a whole ass spread... Brisket: Ribs: Potato salad: Tiramisu: Lasagna: Not shown: macaroni salad, pasta salad, potato rollups, 2 3 foot heros (one Italian, one American) smoked drumsticks, Hawaiian...

    2000’s Bayliner 175 I/O

I repowered my 19 from a 3.0l to a 4.3. My fuel consumption stayed the same and I can actually hold a conversation and my ears aren't ringing after a run. :ROFLMAO: For pushing around as heavy of a sled as it did though, the 3.0 worked. It just took a while.

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

My salary kept up pretty good until 23 or so. A 15$ an hour increase may put me to about the same buying power I had 3 years ago... the more infuriating thing is they company did good by helping the people that came in behind myself or who have been here a long long time... but the people in the...

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

Completely forgot about that. Well as it stands then, as long as the powers that be and all others are okay with it, I'll gladly pass the torch to Joe as long as he's fine with it. :)

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

I actually haven't heard from Joe. (hope all is well) I was going to tag @Racer223 And @TRH299 to see if they had any interest. I just again... kind of forgot. As of right now, this too may end up being a next year event.
