    If you have blisters in one spot there is no point in fixing that.-----Blisters will show up allover next month / next year.-----Launch the boat and enjoy.----Set $$$ aside for proper repairs.

    The clutch dog is spring loaded to go into FORWARD.----As you try to shift to neutral and reverse it takes more and more effort as you compress this spring.-----Have one of these gearcases apart at this time!

    Run with a timing light , 1 cylinder at a time.----Observe the light when motor falters.

    Are you turning the prop when shifting ??----Are you aware of the fact that the clutchdog is SPRING LOADED, yes , no or no idea on this ?

    ???-----Push the plug in with connecter still on the hose.----Remove o-ring.-----Push in the new o-ring.

    The 2 wee pins are valves.-----No hose connected the tank is sealed.----Connecting the hose opens the valves.----One lets fuel out.---One lets air in.----And the connecter has an o-ring.----Fuel outlet pin also has a seal.=====Easy to find the repair parts for these " best quality "...

    Cheap plastic tanks are indeed cheap.----Often times the pick-up tube inside the tank is loose / cracked.

    Every V-4 / V-6 crossflow will die from broken piston rings.----Just a fact.----Great motor if you install 4 new WISECO style O/S pistons.

    I would rebuild the 88HP crossflow.--Properly done will run another 20 years.---The E-tec will save money on fuel / oil I agree.---But look up the availability of parts / price of E-tec parts.----Also is there dealer support for the E-tec in the future?---
