    Agreed, on more than one occasion, have folks offered help to retrieve my boats.---I politely declined.----I just submerge last roller and start boat up the trailer.----Boat lines itself up.-----Then back up the trailer a few feet if winching becomes hard.---Never an issue that way.

    Used the " trailer on a rope " myself to launch a 20' CYGNUS with fixed keel.----It did draw a small crowd.--Used to launch my 30' Wellcraft with 2 wheel drive.----So if there is a good ramp , 2 wheel drive is fine.

    Bulb does not need to be hard when motor is running!-----Are you saying that motor won't start at the lake?----Any trouble shooting done?-----Motor will sound good running with a dead cylinder on the trailer.----Post the actual compression values here.----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on each lead?

    Report the valve clearance that you found.----If motor does not pop with fuel in the cylinder you have no spark or spark at the wrong time.----Tried another sparkplug ?

    Remove cables at the motor.----Operate linkages and see how they move.----Perhaps lubricate them.-----Picture of your controls ?----Factory unit or something else ?

    Maybe reverse gear was not lined up with pinion.----Slow rotation of crankshaft while slowly tightening might be the way to go.
