    Prop problem

That 25% pitch lose information came from a prop shop YouTube channel this guy is trying to convince to buy only OEM SS props from his shop, although 25% seemed not feasible I don't think anybody fun the industry will fabricate those knowing about that loss and I don't think anybody would buy...

    Add tilt/trim to 1978 Mercury 500 Thunderbolt 50HP 4967035

Actually this is a very small boat, and has run for ever with out the tilt trim, I don't see issues in getting into plane or things like that, the only reason I want one is in shallow water to avoid hitting rocks, I have seen some outboard brackets on YT that can raise the outboard, maybe that...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

although as mentioned before I drive a very basic truck with manual transmission and I'm happy with it, I think manual transmission sucks at trafic jams also with load in steep roads is not convenient, I think new transmissions are very good, I hated an old Silverado 1500 from 2006 4speed...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Hilux I woulds say its totaly reliable not a single meassage in the dash board has appeared in this 6 years (maybe because it doesn't have them) but It all depends on your needs of course, this truck has a 2.7 litre engine, about 166 hp and 180 lbs-ft torque, I mostly commute to an office and...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I have one of the most simple Toyota Hilux maybe most of you don't know it in USA, anyways this is manual 5 speed transmission, has no touch screens, all gages are analog, only thing electric are the windows. I love that truck so easy to maintain change plugs etc, not 1 issue in this almost 6...

    Prop problem

I don't have documented information but I saw in a youtube video that aluminum props loose 25% of pitch due to deformation, is tha true? If that is like that it seems a big difference in efficiency I guess, but well as explained before I will stick with my old prop just rehubbed, I think it...

    Prop problem

I will ship it to the repair shop, I have read that aluminum props are not as efficient as the Stainless steel so I don't want to go that route. The rehubing and shipping estimates I have right now are $125 dollars. A new (chinese) SS prop is about $180 dollars, hoping this guys know what they...

    Prop problem

I was able to find a shop that repairs propellers, is 500 miles from my location, I guess having a boat living in a place without lakes nearby has its downsides... but I think this is the best way to go, I'll get this one repaired, and later with a Tach I will see RPMs to decide if a change is...

    Prop problem

Yes I'm thinking in having a Tach, however to properly select a propeller I guess I should have some different Props available, test with the Tach and then select and buy the definitive, as I don't have them I think the most secure way to do it is just buying one same size at it had before...

    Prop problem

Unfortunately I'm located in an area that don't have that kind of shops, is easier for me to get the spares shipped to me than replacing.

Also I wonder if now that I'm buying a new prop I...
