    Oh I have a gamo have a quiet 22 as well. I prefer the 20 gauge because it is instant death, I hate to see a wounded squirrel limp off.

    Yeah I could go into the cities to shop, I value my catalytic converter, don't want my truck broke into and not really into crowded public spaces with the feral behavior of the youth.

    My favorite squirrel trap is an old mossburg 20 gauge with 6 shot. My neighbors leave for a couple months after Christmas I get busy culling the squirrels then. A red squirrel shows on the peninsula I have the green light to cull immediately.

    Mine isn't that bad really 83 miles 1 hour 15 minutes. I leave the house at 5:30 I unlock the doors and turn on the lights at work. I leave work at 2 pm get home and work from home e-mails and phone calls late afternoon. I don't really deal with much traffic till I get 20 or so minutes out on...

    Quality of life end of the day, I get to go home to the lake every day. My home at the end of a private road little to no crime makes it worth it.

    Yeah combine it with an 83 mile commute each way and 20 miles on snow covered roads to get to the freeway...the thrill is gone.

    Peanut butter and peanut parts for bait, a trap hunts all day every day. Only way to stop squirrels is to eliminate them, they will not stop.

    Nope go on e-bay on look for squirrel box traps, a gray squirrel will escape a flat rat trap. It is a box trap you put the bait in back and it's over.

    I agree you get cold gulf moisture and temps in the 30's it is a miserable cold. In Minnesota we have a dry cold, same theory as dry heat.

    Well crap it hit 44 degrees yesterday with the wind, the ice flooded/opened up all the spring spots the ice is gray I would guess the springs will break thru too. There is a culvert that drains the lake I think it froze solid over the weekend and all the water from the springs has no place to go...
