    Mine came with a couple box’s of bags and a handheld vac I believe but when there gone I doubt I will get more. I have always just left a corner of a ziplock open and sucked the air out but will try the water displacement for sure that sounds like a great idea.

    Agreed! That’s going to be a great look. I have never worked with basswood. Does it get a bit darker over time or hold its color pretty good?

    Nobody fishing?

    It must have been hungry. Sometimes people will come here and buy a live lobster at the fish market just so they can toss it back in the water and save its life. Every once in a while when they do this a giant striped bass will come out from under the dock and hammer it. 😂

    My kids got me a sous vide cooker for Christmas and I haven’t used it yet. My time will come. Pretty fancy for me I’m old school and still stuck in the 80’s

    Kayaking in Alaska

    I was hoping you would get some replies. Alaska has been my dream destination for as long as I can remember and would love to follow along and hear the stories. Maybe someone will come along soon. Either way enjoy your adventures.

    Never done any freshwater fishing but those look like nice fish. Glad you found some time to get out and relax for bit. Sounds like you needed it.

    I was talking with a guy yesterday about one of our swimming docks at work. We have stair cases that go in the water as the shore line is very rocky and hard to walk on. We lost one in a storm last fall so I have to build a new one. The guy I was talking to was putting in a regular extension...

    Rant: Can't catch a break with weekend weather...

    I haven’t have anytime but its even worth going around here on Memorial Day weekend anyway. It’s the start of the summer season and complete chaos.
