    What kind of speed are you looking for? The extra power will help get you up on plain quickly and then cruise and a descent speed. Are you running WOT or cruising at 3500-4k RPM? SHSU

    So you may actually lose some top speed by dropping the motor. The more motor in the water, the more drag that you have to overcome. Either way it sounds like you should be good with either. SHSU

    Most of it would be personal preference. As fuel weighs a lot, its nice to have that further forward to help offset the weight of the motor in the back. More of an issue on shorter boats, but can be impactful on larger ones too. SHSU

    Question I would ask is which is more of a concern, the corroded rivets or the edge of the rib? I don't have the answer, but would think it through if I wasn't planning on doing a whole rib removal/reinstall. SHSU

    Oil based is usually 3 - 7 days. Latex (which shouldn't be used on boats) is 30 days minimum. Epoxy, depends on the brand. As for taking it to the lake, I don't see any issues after 2 weeks. Scratches can be touched up and they will happen. SHSU

    I removed all the vinyl on out boat. Didn't make sense and trying to match the original would have been impossible. As for stripping the interior, I am guessing you are not going to cover the interior of the hull wall in carpet. As such, I liked @Moserkr 's approach to only wire brushing...

    Looking good! Something to note, I know you want to get her done, but dry vs cure time are two different things. So I figure you are going to do more work prior to the paint being cured. Just keep that in mind as you put stuff on it even though it feels dry. SHSU

    Cavitation plate needs to be even to/slightly above level with the bottom of the hull. So whatever bolt pattern that gives you correct placement. SHSU

    A aircraft riveting gun is the way to go. As I mentioned in a previous post, traditional impact guns wont do the trick. As for the bit, a brazier head and bucking bar are needed to do it correctly. Not sure how in-depth you are planning to get, but I am pretty sure the team recommends...
