    I figured that the torque spec was a bit "ball park" as it goes ....you torque the nut to spec and then either lean on it some more or back it off so the pin hole in the shaft lines up with the slots in the nut . I cant see the point in using a torque wrench , just tweek it up to the point...

    The bit I dont get ......wouldnt you stop welding when you saw the distortion starting , I mean it didnt suddenly boing outa shape after the job was finished . I believe thats a replacement panel job .....not fixable .🙂
