    A lot of good gear oil gets thrown out.----No need to change it often if seals are keeping the water out.----If water is getting in you need a complete seal kit !!

    I used to push the plunger in.----Pick out the o-ring.----Push in a new o-ring.----Did this regularly 50 years ago.

    The float bowls are warped.-----There are aluminum replacements.-------Torque on those 4 screws is about 10 INCH LBS ---or the same as not very much.

    I REALLY need input on a (just purchased, no history) OMC TurboJet 115 Initial startup and troubleshooting attempt.

    But the VRO does not put oil to the bearings directly.----The VRO mixed oil with the gasoline before it goes to the carburetors.

    Fuel should not leak out the float bowl vent hole.----Need to inspect both carburetors I say.

    ???-----Poppit valve must open at higher throttle settings.----These 3 cylinder motors have enuff cooling issues already.----Do not ignore a leak there !

    Take the covers off.---Inspect parts.------Replace diaphragm and gaskets for the covers.

    There is a vent hole in some covers.----It allows the poppit diaphragm to move.----If water leaks out ,the diaphragm has a hole or is not sealed properly.
