    download you service manual from this list... pretty sure it covers testing the display if not well the file will be usefull for other things. the display is pretty much still used on medern etec evinrude engines. if the suggested manual does not cover testing the dispaly by grounding...

    POST YOUR ENGINE MDL # ! blowing the coil..??? have you confirmed it is defective ?? what about other parts contributing to firing the plug.... power pack seems a fequent suspect... seems to be reacting to heat...after a while running. if a shot of coolant spray restores fire you know it...

    the bowl filter can be taken out but he bowl itself is part of the carb fuel route.

    its just when I put the pin in the top to connect it to the motor it wont lift it, if all is good valving/seal ... wise is it possible the motor is incapable of producing enough PSI for the engine to go up ?

    prop repair or new one solves the prop problem ....the rest belongs to a welder..... time and money permitting. I only had a chip break of and they wanted 3-400$ for my repairs so I just went JB weld (later painted) this one is more severe of course and neeeds a full rebuild :-(

    is this a new to you engine... anybody worked on it YR is typical START . any chance "a purple" should go to the power pack ? ...sorrry I don't have a diagram but it seems that woud solve the problem
