    That is called a Bilge keeler. The idea being that they can be used to manoeuvre shallow water. They are not really a trailer boat , better in a mooring . I think they are designed for explorers/sailers My friends Dad built one of these in his car shed and sailed it in Lake Teanau .

    Ah ,sorry 'bout that crosbyman 😁and it was a genuine OMC part too. Its surprising whats out there if you have a look around Funny how OMC and OMG look similar. Mind you 43 bucks for a head gasket aint that terrible. I have bought a few gasket sets from China and are yet to have an issue.🙂

    Not just Chrysler, I saw this set up on a lot of older US made stationary engines . So many peeps used to fit the fibre washer on the outside of the bowl.......which to be fair would be my 1st guess if I didnt pay attention when dismantling. Sometimes you'get away with it ( oblivious ).🙂
