    Has stated carbs usually just clog up and simply need a good cleaning and OEM gaskets (some china stuff melts !!) Old cork floats lasted and still last after 50 years . Your "older" current floats won't soak up and may be even better quality than new ones. I would leave them in...

    try this.......... 2 screws to remove if it leaks it neads a reseal.... add GC oil from the bottom up.... replace with new nylon washers when done. you tubes can help you on the reseal ....some just replace GC oil mid season if not a basket case...

    I am not aware of any like the Johnson red book but they are close cousins anyway...cowl or color changes mostly functionnalities are pretty much the same.. part#s may differ being build in US and Canada FR on AOMCI would know :) or Racerone here. parts listings are available...

    75lbs wasn't so bad after all I always try before openning them up and... I never did open one up... they are very simple kickers ....but buying all the parts may in fact be more than finding a working kicker... the 3hp -4hp are much smoother runners with 2 cyl. and 2 separate ignition...

    water pump is easy check utubes G.C. more complex but do a pressure test to confirm necessity to venture into the project.. using worn nylon seal on the filler/vent screws may have cause water intrusion but GC seal may be ok ...
