    Laying the Deck Questions

I drilled more holes than that, just so I could see the progress. Worked well, then took the plugs from the holes and glassed them in also.

    Anchor light wiring

Update. The new nav/anchor light arrived, I set up a test with it as it can't be mounted yet. It worked perfectly in anchor and nav positions. I'm figuring the old light was shorted internally or something as it would not operate properly before. So glad I don't have to un-bolt the helm to get...

    Log splitter. Bushings versus bearings

If you get it home, and only pull it around the yard, you may as well put wood bushings in. Grease them up and done.

    Yamaha 3cyl 60hp two stroke

I'd do a compression test also. I know the evinrude/johnson motors would lose the center cyl often. I'm not sure about the yammies though if they had the same issue.

    Transporting a 20' boat on a flatbed.

Flatbed would be fine, just put pine blocks under the keel, on each side to keep it from shifting side to side, screwed down. And some blocks at the transom on each side to keep it level, a couple more up front at the windshield area to help. The straps should be under the handrails to avoid...

    Anchor light wiring

Wish I could get a pic. Impossible unless the entire dash id disassembled. Fortunately there is still the factory wiring coded in the manuals file but in order to follow the harness first I have to get to it!.

    1972 ranger fuel cell

can't tell you about fuel tank access, how about a pic of the interior? If the foam is wet, it has to be removed and replaced. No amount of holes for drying will work. Trust us, it will not dry.

    Anchor light wiring

I have to get to the switches, Really almost impossible to get to as they are in the helm, and the shift throttle setups will have to be removed to access the switches. Poor set up for service. And it's two separate switches for anchor and running lights.

    Anchor light wiring

I'm currently working on an older Chris craft, as it is the nav lights work fine, as does the anchor light. The issue is they are on two separate switches and in order to have the anchor light working the nav lights have to be on also. It's a dual use light with aft and fwd bulbs. At anchor I...

2003 Ebbtide Mercruiser 3.0 engine rattle? Normal?

If you are looking at the accelerator pump piston it will look different. They changed the rubber to an ethanol resistant type.

    Divorced choke

I'd cap the hole rather than leave it in there. Much cleaner look and won't look redneck.

    Pitting/corrosion on jon boat bottom

I was getting ready to start the other morning when I heard a loud pop right next to me and I found my rear glass in my truck completely shattered. Looked like it exploded from the inside. Don’t know what caused it. So that eat up my sanding time that day. That has happened around here in the...

    Spider Cracks Repair

Well, on mine I filled them with epoxy, and small amount of fairing compound. I painted mine. At the shop we fill with gel, unless the damage is deep, then thickened epoxy, then gel.

    Freezer door not freezing

I had a fridge that wasn't cooling properly, I was renting. The landlord sent the repair guy over and he replaced the fan in the freezer. Worked perfect after that.
