    keep in mind like Bondo stated, if the exhaust bellows is bad, the u-joint bellows is also bad. make sure to get a complete bellows kit. While at it, also get an impeller kit (super easy on a cobra)

    FWIW, every engine I build has a mechanical gauge mounted to the intake manifold and plumbed to the oil galley in the block. that way if I question an electric gauge, I can quickly look to see if there is actual oil pressure.

    When I used seacast, I still had to undeck the boat, use a chain saw to remove the wood and still ended up cutting the inside transom skin to be able to clean up the fiberglass surface prior to pouring the seacast as stated above. there are no shortcuts.
