    correct. just like you can not have your 4.3 250hp reflashed to 280hp. even though the whole engine is the same, only a fuel mapping difference. unless you find a dealer willing to reflash your ECM without documenting it (good luck)

    it could be running on 2 cylinders on the muffs and you wouldnt know it do you have points or electronic ignition? if points, make sure to set your dwell with a meter
