    gauges work on varying resistance to ground. clean your connections on the gauge, the ground buss, the sensor, etc. 80 PSI may be a high volume oil pump. ATK generally installs them. not needed on a 4.3. what brand of remanufactured engine?

    I would trust your dash tach more than the cheap tiny tach imposter you used. to turn your 4.3 7000 RPM requires a lot of engine work to prevent the pistons from seeking homes outside of the bores.
