    you need a big C-clip pliers for the two C-clips. I used a 18" Blue-Point with a ratchet lock sterndrive.info has good videos on the OMG stringer and they have a good assortment of parts along with a rebuild service.

    Add the HX before the motor hits the water (any water). the debris that the leg picks up, sits in the bottom of the block until you put an HX on it. then it plugs up the HX on the side you cant clean

    yes, volvo hoses down the engine and the Johnson pump. just use your pocket knife to flake off the paint if you are worried about it. they are either Metric (M4 or M5) or #10 screws. they are not very tight (they dont need to be)

    you may get lucky, however most of the fall-out of the OMC brands when OMC went bust was loss of documentation. Same goes for Chris Craft and other brands owned by OMC in the 90's however Four Winns in its current configuration started in 2014, which is most likely why their documentation only...
