    I think the water intake on the 15hp and below is behind the prop. not sure you can use muffs. normally a large garbage barrel. water must be at least 8-10" above the split in the case.

    You should look at reman'd power heads first. Local place here has them about $1600 with new cranks, new pistons, etc

    Hammer it in. Use a combo of the easy out and a vicegrips if its tight If that doesnt work, may have to use a thin air saw blade or drill it out (use a good shop vac while drilling to get the chips)

    with all the road construction going on in Florida, the unsecured loads from construction vehicles, and the pure amount of debris on the roads that gets kicked up from traffic..... we average about 1 windshield every 2-3 years with all the vehicles. Truck has appt tomorrow.
